The Year of Languages in Kentucky - If you were following the NCAA tournament this spring and listened to the UK basketball games on the radio you may have noticed a familiar voice and topic during half-time. The "UK at the half" segment during the March 27th UK-Michigan State game featured Festival Director and UK German professor, Jeff Rogers, talking about the KWLA Language Festival and the "The Year of Languages". This radio feature aired on the UK radio network, which is made up of 75 stations in 49 markets (including Lexington, Louisville and Cincinnati), with an estimated listening audience of more than half million per game.
